How billing works
Managed plans include a monthly platform fee and a usage fee based on SSP revenue, DSP spend, or ad-server spend. The usage rate decreases with volume to a minimum rate. You set publisher payouts and demand-partner fees separately.
Platform charges and partner fees
Platform fee
A fixed monthly charge for your plan. Enterprise and Community private deployments use a custom quote.
Usage fee
A percentage of SSP revenue, DSP spend, or ad-server spend. The rate decreases with volume to a minimum rate of 2%.
Your fee schedules
Set the publisher payouts and demand-partner terms for your business. These are separate from Riptide’s platform charges.
Usage metrics
Your active modules determine the metric used to calculate the usage fee: ssp_revenue for supply-side traffic, dsp_spend for
demand-side traffic, or adserver_spend for direct-campaign delivery. Riptide
calculates usage charges and issues invoices. The payment provider then collects the
invoiced amount.
Reseller billing
With reseller rollup enabled, the parent tenant receives one invoice for its child tenants' combined usage. Each child's usage is billed once. See the pricing page for which plans include reseller rollup, and try the role estimator there for a quick monthly estimate.
Billing events are also pushed as webhooks (billing.invoice_created, billing.payment_failed).
Review your billing setup
Share your active products, monthly revenue or spend, and whether customer accounts need separate or consolidated invoices. We can explain the platform charges and how they relate to your partner fees.
